When I met my beautiful wife Brooke, little did I know I also just met my future business partner.

This may come as a surprise but the truth is neither of us spent our childhoods dreaming of owning a construction and gutter company.

Growing up, you'd find me on the ball fields. I was aiming for the Major Leagues. Brooke planned to become a country music sensation and follow in the footsteps of Dolly Parton.

But fate had other plans.

I traded in my baseball bat for a set of tools and found a second love working with families, protecting and improving their homes.

Brooke didn't end up belting out country classics either. But she did find another way to inspire – as a dedicated teacher in the Wichita Public Schools. She rose through the ranks and trained other educators.

But the day finally came when the classroom couldn't contain her creative spirit any longer. Brooke joined our family business and loves to delight our customers with her design and decorating skills (make sure to check out her work on the Design Services page).

While the world missed out on a country music legend and a World Series MVP (sorry guys), we found work we're just as passionate about that's much more rewarding.
